  • More cancer deaths in the United Kingdom are caused by smoking tobacco than to any other single risk factor.
  • Smoking is the burning of tobacco to produce vapours.      
  • These vapours are inhaled and the active substances are absorbed into the bloodstream through the lungs.     
  • The nicotine in the tobacco is addictive.
  • Tobacco smoke contains carcinogens
  • Tobacco use leads  to diseases affecting the heart and lungs.
  • Smoking is a major risk factor for Heart attacks, strokes, emphysema and cancer.

If an individual smokes tobacco it can become uncontrolled, start to control them and lead to serious physical and mental problems.
